December 2008

Our open barn was a huge success and we thank everyone who contributed, participated and attended!!  We were happy and proud to share our farm, Morgan horses and time with so many wonderful people.  And it is so nice to know it was well received by all:

"Hi Pete and Gael, Thank you, thank you for the beautiful day you allowed us to share with you.  Our friend, Sam, led us to your open barn experience since he knew that we love animals with a passion.  I plead ignorance about breeds of horses, but there is a primal appreciation for them and their beauty.  My granddaughter, Sophia, has an attraction for them even though she is only two and a half.  She always wants to "ride' no matter how large the horse might be.  Then she doesn't want to dismount.  She actually cries when she has to leave the horse.  Give us some direction here.  Back to reality!  Your place is beautiful.  I can't imagine living there and experiencing that joy and beauty every day.  Everyone seems to work together and share the love of horses and animals equally.  My sister and I both said that we would love to work in such a great environment.  Thank you again for a wonderful experience.  I hope you and your family have the best Christmas ever!"   Ann Herndon

October 2008

Flintlocks Grandee was the OKC Youth Hunter Champion in a class of 20
horses ridden by Bre Schulz and owned by Megan Brunke. We were very proud
of him and wish him continued success with his new owners as Grandee was
sold to
Fire Run Farm for the Rumen’s daughter to show in the Jr. Exhibitor 14-17
age group.

Look for the Flintlock ad in the 2008 edition of the
Fall Morgan Showcase.  This publication will be
available free of charge at the Morgan Nationals in
OKC, the Equine Affaire in Springfield, MA and
several other Morgan sales and venues throughout
the coming year.
